Gravitas to Discuss Investing with Emerging Hedge Fund Managers to New York Society of Security Analysts

Gravitas Managing Director Robert Gusick will speak to the New York Society of Security Analysts Wednesday, June 30, 2010, as part of a panel on opportunities, risks and challenges in investing in emerging hedge fund managers in the current environment.  

The panel will address:

•   Identifying talent when dealing with limited track records

•   Managing risk: Avoiding frauds and blow-ups

•   Creating sustainability in the face of raising costs

•   The current seed capital outlook and the main providers

•   What strategies are attractive to emerging manager investors

The forum will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the NYSSA office at 1540 Broadway, 10th floor, New York

City, with a reception to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Gusick addressed more than 60 participants at the Hedgeworld CTA Conference in Chicago on  June  2,  2010,  discussing what  investors should  look  for  when  evaluating prospective derivative fund managers and their service provider relationships.

Mr. Gusick joined Gravitas in 2009 as the head of the company’s Software Development Group, He  has  25  years  experience  developing  and  managing  front-  and  middle-office  financial systems on Wall Street, working at Perry Capital, Soros Funds Management, Morgan Stanley and Drexel Burnham Lambert. He has an MBA in finance from NYU's Executive Program, and a BS in computer science from Cornell University.
